Wilder Wednesday with a word to mothers

To be fulfilled and content as a mother might be the greatest gift that you can give your child. ~Lisa Groen Braner.

To this I cleave when guilt over mom's night out settles in.
This I adopt when I pursue my own ideas.

This I recall when I buy a fun tank top or sparkly sandals.

I hope you do, too.

*Motherhood isn't easy. But that doesn't mean it's not good.*

Love to you!

More pics from the 4th!

It was so, so refreshing to be in town for the holiday and have the long weekend to ourselves. We relaxed for what felt like had been the first time in a loooonnng time. The laundry went undone, to-do list put away. Wilder won't stay this young forever, afterall. Although, if I had any say...!

L & D were free, too, so they came over for pizza, salad, raspberry sorbet, and kiddie friendly fireworks!

Grey attacked Wilder, like so:

Wilder swam in Rubbermaid cuz I accidentally slashed his inflatable pool:
The mommas compared notes (Wild & Grey are a few weeks apart) (look at the blue eyes-woah):

D lit some smokey bombs:

And the boys got clean:
What better way to end the day?

farmer's market

Healthy people go to Farmer's Market for the produce...we went for some Holmes Made salsa and Sagemoon Creations patchouli soap.

We were in town for the 4th, and the morning jaunt to market was the perfect start to the holly day!

I get to...

This stay-at-home mom thing rocks because I get to have playdates in the morning and serve donuts and orange juice and laugh and talk and love on babies. Like this guy (almost 12 weeks)-an absolute dream:

Eeeee!!!

He and Wilder had on the same green onesie. Wilder was the Jolly Green Giant and this wee one was Little Sprout.

Wilder in his matching green onesie looking not quite as...as....

innocent. :-)
On an unrelated note, will you let me brag about my recent $3.75 estate sale purchase (console table)? Ok, great! You are all so good to me.
