I found some inspiring/cute/fun quotes in Wilder's keepsake calendar:

"We find a delight in the beauty and happiness of children that makes the heart too big for the body." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

"A babe in the house is a well-spring of pleasure, a messenger of peace and love, a resting place for innocence on earth, a link between angels and men." ~Martin Fraquhar Tupper

"Wonder is the beginning of wisdom." ~Greek Proverb

"A man never stands as tall as when he kneels to help a child." ~Knights of Pythagoras

"Sometimes you gotta create what you want to be a part of." ~Geri Weitman

"A baby is the most complicated object made by unskilled labor." ~Anonymous

"Even when freshly washed and relieved of all obvious confections, children tend to be sticky." ~Fran Lebowitz

"A sparkling home is a fine thing if the children aren't robbed of their luster by keeping it that way." ~Marcelene Cox

Great quotes. I am going to have to post that last one all over my house when we have kids. That is one thing I will be horrible at as a mother, letting my kids make a mess in the house!!!!

We heard a little kid say the sweetest thing this morning at Panera Bread. We were in their sunny back room enjoying our bagels when a dad came in with his three little kids and sat next to us. All of a sudden, one of them said, "I love Saturday mornings when everything is so beautiful!" It put smiles on both of our faces to hear this thought verbalized. . .because we had been thinking the same thing. It WAS a very beautiful morning! Kid's are so candid! It's great!
