Ye ole college town

MY baby sister, Erin (Sissy!), and her husband, Ryan, have been painstakingly chipping away at their undergraduate careers at Southwest Baptist University (SBU) in Bolivar, MO, for a few years now. Ryan has reached the end of his courses and graduates in December with a degree in Education (Social Studies/History teacher and basketball coach extraordinaire!); Sissy will receive her Biology degree, magna cum laude, in May. To say I'm proud of them would be an understatement.

Shawn and I made our second trip (my third) to their home the weekend of Nov. 21st. We had so much fun that Wilder and I stayed a few days extra, as written in an earlier post. Sissy made roast/potatoes, biscuits/gravy, and taco salad for us--heaven on earth! We hit the antique stores, the guys went to an SBU basketball game, and we got some solid time in on their new, cushy, comfy couch!
Sissy and I also got to go to some fun, girly shops and have lunch at an adorable cafe, The Tea Garden.
Wilder slept well in his pack-n-play at Uncle Ryan and Aunt Erin's house!I think he's looking at his buggy friend-he loves that toy!
Lots of green and it wasn't even St. Patty's day!
Hats and wigs at the antique store (yes, I have on a wig; that's not my new, short hair!)
Cool old TV I wanted to buy! It was only $45!
Us with some Kleenex race car dude
My joy!
Sissies and friends forever! (sissies as in the sister kind, not the woah, I'm a wuss kind!)

And, the 6 inches shorter hair--more manageable with my busy mom schedule!
